We decided to take a little break this last weekend and we took off for the coast. Andrew, my brother, met us there. Reese liked to tell people that we were going to the Pacific Ocean. Carsten was very cute and learned to say, "beatsch". These two pictures were on our last morning there...
Jim had to work on Monday, so Unc and I took the boys to the aquarium. We always enjoy it there and Carsten especially liked it this time. Amazingly he was content to stay in this hilarious stroller. It squeaked and rattled something fierce, but he liked it. We had forgotten to take our stroller and I really didn't think he'd stay in it anyway. This stroller was free with our passes.
We took our trailer and camped at a little place right on the beach. We were steps away from the water. We scoped out the best spots to park next time, but our spot was pretty good. I should have taken more pictures, but... We had dinner one night at our favorite coast restaurant with our friends Truman and Elinor (who happened to be spending the weekend at the coast as well). Then we met some great people on Sunday, Lee and Lisa. They invited us over to their place Monday night and we had a great time getting to know them! (We talked about you Callie and Darci).

How fun...and it looks like it was nice and cool outside. We are having really hot weather right now so it was fun to see you all bundled up.
Thanks for the pictures on the Blog .... finally!! It was nice to see Unc, too. We hear our home is going to be 102 today so being able to be at the beach would have been ideal (if we were there). We're tooling along in the RV in very drizzly weather (62 degrees at 10 am) making our way to Illinois ... we're in Missouri right now.
Hi you beach lovers! I'm jealous..heehee! We are overdue for a trip there I think. We have been planting dahlias to beat the band! YOu two look so cozy and cute in the beach picture!
See ya,
Sandra and dave
Cool that you got to see Lee and Lisa! I haven't seen them for ages. I'm jealous. Plus, the beach sounds good right now, although I'm kind of envisioning something with palm trees and warm water... ONE WEEK and I'm done. Phew!
