Reese's Celebration

Reese wanted to go on a hike/picnic for his birthday celebration.
We ended up going to Silver Falls State Park.

The cousins came along and our friends Joren and Katelyn.
It was a beautiful day and so fun to walk behind two of the waterfalls!
The kids were troopers and there were only a few complaints on the long uphill section...

Cousin Clayton had the easy ride.

It's Reese's Birthday!!!

Happy 8th Birthday Reese!  Breakfast in bed... which turned out to be in a tent (a present to both boys from us).

Reese wanted to open one present in the morning ("The one from Unc!")

We went to Eats & Treats Cafe for lunch (a new local Gluten Free restaurant).
Reese with his present from Papa and his hat from us.

The owners treated Reese royally!  He got a special plate with ribs (his request)...
And TWO desserts with candles (they stayed late last night to come up with a cupcake he could have--soy free and dairy free as well as gluten free)!  :)

Carsten's Last Game

Carsten's last game today...  He made a goal!  He was so happy.

Carsten with his coach.

Reese's Last Game (of the season)

 His whole team...

They all got medals for participating...

Reese had an amazing coach this year--very caring and taught them a lot!

Hairy McClary

I'm borrowing my brother's very nice camera and so consequently playing around--Hairy makes a good subject (cute too)...

More Soccer Games...

Soccer games...  The boys' games were too close in time and in separate cities today, so Reese and I missed Carsten's game (Opa took pictures and Carsten scored a goal!).
Then everyone quickly came over and caught most of Reese's game...
