Bliss...

I believe I mentioned in an earlier post about how a new pair of shoes makes my day... I need to say that I have now found something much better, bliss--a visit from Oma. Having Oma here means a few things--I haven't unloaded the dishwasher once in the past three weeks (my least favorite house keeping duty), I get 3 hours a day of freedom as she naps with them. I haven't given one bath, I rarely change a diaper or get someone dressed other than myself. She even let Jim and I go to the midnight release of Harry Potter last night! Oma is going home tomorrow, Sunday, and I'm going to go through withdrawals, depression, sadness, and having to deal with grandchildren that miss their Oma...

"BLISS" I thought that was referring to me, Oma! It has been a wonderful 3 weeks and Jim & Dana are so good about letting me do for the boys which I enjoy very much. The rewards are wonderful-a smile, a pat on the back from C or RR saying,"Oma, I love you." Well, time to go for a nap with the boys now. Love, Oma

That is so nice Dana, I am sure your Mom enjoys the fact that you appreciate her so much. Very cute photo. Funny, I dislike loading and unloading dishes too ;) Oh, and by the way Oma you are more than happy to come a few hours north and visit. I have a new born, every grandma loves to sit and hold a new born for hours, right? :) She only crys when she is hungry so dot worry about that :)

Glad that your mom can spend time with your kids. That is super. You have a super mom Dana! I hope you enjoyed your "me time" as I am sure you did.

I love this picture. It is so sweet! and tell "BLISS" to come see us. I've got a little girl she can spoil and be with and we live closer.

On a more serious note that was such a wonderful and sweet post about your mom. They really are wonderful.

Yes, your mom is such a wonderful person. I often comment to people how I'd love to be like her...always so kind, caring, and thinking of others.

Great post! My mom and dad just left this morning and I already miss them. I was finally able to get a set of curtains sewn for my niece while they were here. I didn't unload the dishwasher for a week either, but Mom doesn't like to load it, so I "had" to do that! It's great for me to get a good night kiss and hug from my mom and dad every night too!
