A Full Weekend...

We got the harebrained idea to run to IKEA on Saturday when Jim got home from work. We thought of it and 10 minutes later were on the road. Carsten's nap happened in the car. We were going for kitchen ideas and to see if we liked their kitchens enough to just get one there. Conclusion? We loved two of them! We also found some flooring that we like since a hardwood floor is no longer in the budget. It was fun to get out (since I've been somewhat isolated with MRSA--doing tons better for those interested)... We ate dinner there, bought a few fun things, then headed home.
Sunday was busy and the picture above is on the way home Sunday. Carsten was listening to the LeapFrog pad thing and he just nodded off...

Dana, so glad you are feeling better! That is one horrid thing to be confined in your house for so long (with kids) and the mommy is the sick one! So frustrating! Hang in there~ Spring is on it's way.....eventually, right! Hugs from me to you, Laurie

wonder if your ikea is as busy on a saturday as ours is? I ran there this week too, our closest one is only 30 min away and I have JUST enough time to get there and back home before picking up our kids at 11:05 for their lunch hour break. They start again at 1:30 so it kind of breaks up your day big time. Your battle with the bacteria sounds awful. Hope you all get rid of it soon and can sit down in a chair without your donut pillow!

The IKEA flooring is great, as far as some friends of mine who have it can attest. And they love their kitchen too. I like all the designs laid out... good luck choosing...
