Reese turned 5 on Saturday. We were at convention, so we had a little celebration after lunch. He has wanted a police officer hat to go with a little outfit he has put together to be a police officer, so that is what he got. Oma got him a cake--he said he wanted a superhero cake and so she had a picture of Super Reese put on a cake...

The family at convention...We went to Con and Heidi's for the weekend two weekends ago for Jim to run a half marathon. We then went to Opa and Oma's to go to convention. Jim has now gone home (on the train--our boys are totally jealous) and the kids and I are going to stay for a week. My mom will drive home with me and be there for a week before Opa comes up to get her. (Thanks to Kit for the convention/birthday pictures!)

What a great way to celebrate a birthday! My birthday was Saturday, also, and I celebrated by meeting Jeremy and Amy and boys halfway through Nebraska. We camped and visited. Some of the rest of my family was able to come over too.

i still can't believe that R is 5!!! how on earth did that happen?! and if your kid is 5, then mine is close! i'm not ready for this.....
