Here is our kitty... Reese thoroughly enjoyed trick or treating this evening! He is now having just as much fun handing out candy.

Here is RR insisting on playing outdoors while it is 46 degrees... I allowed it for about 7 minutes and then encouraged him to play something else that was inside! It was slightly difficult to explain the heating the outside and paying the heating bill, etc. as he wants the door left open while he is outside!
Reese loves his train set from IKEA and we got the extra tracks and another train this last time. Jim was trying to figure out how to make it all fit together tonight... it worked! You'll notice one left over piece by Jim though. Every time we put it together we do it different and Reese is no help as he likes to just *build* with the tracks. Once it is all together he then has fun playing trains.

Just for the record I have been trying to post pictures for three days... something is wrong with blogger I guess. So, when it is working again there will be pictures!!! Arggghhhh.
For those of you interested... the house plans! We almost have the land and are tentatively planning on starting in the spring.
Kid update... Reese did in fact have an ear infection so he is on antibiotics. He seems to be feeling better which is great for all of us.

Well, here is a picture of Carsten. My brother and I were experimenting with the camera so it's not perfect, but I like it. He is in his pajamas which is kinda funny...
So, we are on vacation and Reese has a fever and last night woke up crying saying his ear was hurting. Hmmm... Why does this always happen when we are not at home?
We went on another little mini-vacation this weekend. Jim met us over there. Reese loved all the attention from all his aunties and grandmas...
Teresa and Diana made sugar cookies with Reese and he helped. The sprinkles were a hit.
Oma with her grandson again... He is not lacking for attention here.
Unc gave Reese a ride on the big tractor. He was not too sure and it ended up to be a somber ride. We'll see if he'll get on it again while we are here. He is quite taken with the building of the deck and insists that he need to help. He brought 4 of his hammers along--so he is prepared to help.

We had the privelege of going to Uncle Dick's funeral yesterday. I don't think words would do justice as to what was felt there.
After the funeral we got to spend some time with my Aunt Diane and Uncle John. It was the first time they had seen Carsten. Sure was nice to be with them...

We made it to Opa and Oma's house yesterday. The boys and I are here for two weeks. Today we went shopping and Reese got to ride the carousel with Oma. He thought it was great (after not thinking it was great).

Ralph and Heidi are visiting and we got the privelege of joining them for Liam's first birthday last night. Fun times. The boys played well together. You can see that Reese enjoyed the balloons the most!

This afternoon we went to a pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin... They ended up having quite a few activities. Reese of course like the little house the best. Thank goodness he brought his hammer along so he could work on it. The other favorite was the water pumps--it involved water... Enjoy the pictures...
My cousins Kristi and Barbara came to see us today! They were in our state to see their kids and made a little side trip to see us. Fun to catch up.
Reese of course quickly warmed up to them. After they left we took naps. When he woke up he asked, "Where Kristi...Barbara?"

Carsten is feeling much better this morning... no more fever. Of course since he is Carsten he has really only been a little crabby, fussy... he still sleeps wonderful and is really a good baby. I don't know if I've said how well he sleeps yet, so if I haven't--he sleeps from 9pm to 7am! Can not complain. Now hopefully it won't change.
Carsten has reacted more to his shots than Reese ever did. He is grumpy, feverish, and wants to be held alllllll day long. Yuck. I so don't like shots.
