Opa's grandson...

Reese this morning playing on his *email*. He was typing names he said. He would say, "mommy, daddy, Carsten, Oma..." and hit about twenty keys at once.

So, tonight we are outside talking to the neighbors and Reese is piddling around in the garage... we finish talking and start paying attention to Reese and he is riding his tricycle! His feet finally touch the peddles and he's figured out that pushing on the peddles makes the whole thing go... fun. Now we need to work on steering...

Justen and Diana came to visit us and then went with us this weekend to convention. Reese loved all the attention. Reese had someone to spend time with in the backyard before we went and he played with water, dirt, and bugs--all time favorites, thanks Justen! Diana was a huge help with Carsten, and Reese is still talking about her...

Opa and Oma--when are they moving here???

Carsten all dressed up. Carsten was such a good boy. We all came down with colds and he never complained even though he was and still is congested and snarkily.

Reese and Siena driving to get a pizza... pepperoni pizza. This was Reese's favorite spot to be this weekend... driving the motorhome.

Becky's visit...

Becky Sue came to visit us this weekend. Fun times... We had a lazy Saturday and then went to Saginaw today. She is going home in the morning. Tonight she cooked us dinner, so we are considering having her move in with us.

Reese wasn't too sure about getting on, and then he rather enjoyed it.

Sorry I don't have any pictures to accompany this post, but a Kodak moment (wait, I have a Canon), a Canon moment didn't present itself... Jim's friend is here from Reno with her horse and she is showing it at the fairgrounds. We live less than a mile from the fairgrounds so Reese, Carsten, and I went down to watch. We went back with Jim in the evening as well. Reese was quite intrigued with all the horses, but what really caught his attention was the blue tractor that came in the arena to rake the dirt...go figure.

So, last night Reese announces in the middle of dinner, "thank you mommy.... for making dinner". Wow. I don't know who taught him to say that, but it sure did my heart good. I guess we are eating out too much!

Monday...

Carsten is spending more and more time holding up his head.

I was looking back at old pictures and thought it would be interesting to compare the two boys... This is one of Reese at 11 weeks and Carsten today (he'll be 10 weeks tomorrow). Can you tell which is which?

Here is Carsten's new ride... Jim spoiled me and got me an Ergo Baby Carrier. It is really great, it puts the weight on my hips instead of my back.

A few more for Tuesday...

I just had to catch Carsten holding up his head so well... He doesn't love tummy time, but he complains so little that you wouldn't really know it... And not to be outdone--Reese requested his photo be taken playing the piano--backwards.

Tuesday morning laundry...

Playing with our bedding this morning... Reese likes to hold Carsten and after I take the pictures he asks me to leave Carsten so he can hold him more... Very cute--wonder how long this will last???

Friday Night Fun Night...

Last night we had some friends over. Reese and his little friend Owen had a good time. If only we never had to mention the word "share" it would have been perfect! Sharing in the world of a 2 and a 3 year old is not a good thing...

Reese brought home his workbench from Papa's house tonight... I'm sure our house will never be the same. He is already looking for loose screws to work on...

Reese started off with a bad day--I threw away the yogurt lid and that was the wrong thing to do even though it was what I was asked to do... So, with that over, the day is progressing nicely.
